Set up IPTV on Firestick
Firestick is the most popular way to watch IPTV on a normal TV. Amazon's store doesn't list most IPTV players, so you install one with the free Downloader app. It takes about ten minutes and you only do it once.

Step by step
- 1
Allow apps from unknown sources
Open Settings, then My Fire TV, then Developer Options. If you don't see Developer Options, open About and click your device name seven times to unlock it. Turn on Install unknown apps for Downloader once it is installed.
- 2
Install Downloader
Use the search icon on the home screen, type Downloader, and install the orange app by AFTVnews. It's free and is the standard way to sideload apps on Fire TV.
- 3
Download your IPTV player
Open Downloader and enter the download address or code for the player you chose (our support team sends the current one with your login). Install it when the download finishes, then delete the installer file to free space.
- 4
Log in with Xtream Codes
Open the player, choose Login with Xtream Codes API, and enter the server URL, username and password from your welcome email. Give the playlist any name. Channels, movies, series and the TV guide load automatically.
- 5
Tune the player
In the player's settings, set the video player to the default or hardware decoder, turn on automatic EPG refresh, and add your most-watched channels to Favourites so they open in one click.
Firestick & Fire TV questions
The Fire TV Stick 4K Max has the fastest processor and Wi-Fi 6E, so it switches channels quickly and plays 4K reliably. The basic Fire TV Stick works for HD.
Downloader is a widely used free utility listed in Amazon's own app store. It simply downloads files from an address you type. Only enter download links from sources you trust.
On a 1-device plan you can install it on several devices but stream on one at a time. To watch on two Firesticks simultaneously, choose a 2-device plan or higher.
