Catch-up and replays

Missed kick-off? Many sports channels let you start from the beginning or replay the last days from the guide.

Multi-screen households

On a 2 to 5 screen plan, different rooms can watch different games at the same moment.

For the smoothest picture during big events, connect your device by cable and close other heavy downloads. Our guide to watching live sports with IPTV covers low-delay settings, and the internet speed guide explains how much bandwidth 4K needs.

Sports channels by region

Sport is the biggest single group in the line-up, with more than 3,000 channels. Because broadcasters differ by country, the same event is often available on several channels in different languages, which also gives you a backup if one stream struggles.

RegionWhat you will find
United StatesNational networks, college sports, basketball, ice hockey, baseball and American football
UK and IrelandDomestic and European football, rugby, cricket, darts and boxing
EuropeTop-flight football from Spain, Italy, Germany, France, Portugal and the Netherlands, cycling and winter sports
Middle East and AfricaPan-regional football channels, Arabic commentary, African leagues
Latin AmericaSpanish and Portuguese commentary for football, boxing and motorsport
AsiaCricket, badminton, football and combat sports

Watching sport in 4K: a quick checklist

  • A 4K-capable TV or stick, such as a Fire TV Stick 4K Max, Apple TV 4K or a recent Android TV box.
  • About 25 Mbps of steady bandwidth per 4K screen, ideally over an Ethernet cable.
  • A player with a hardware decoder enabled. TiviMate and IPTV Smarters both offer it in their settings.
  • Other heavy downloads paused during the match, especially game updates and cloud backups.

Not every broadcast is produced in 4K. When a match is only available in Full HD, that is the broadcaster's own quality.

Sports questions

Yes. Sports channels from many countries carry the major European leagues and cups live, so you can usually choose your preferred commentary language.

IPTV streams typically run a few seconds to around half a minute behind broadcast TV, similar to other streaming services. A wired connection keeps it at the low end.

With a multi-screen plan you can stream different games on different devices at the same time. Some players, such as TiviMate Premium, also support multi-view on one screen.

Many sports channels offer catch-up, so you can replay recent broadcasts from the guide. The on-demand library also carries highlights and documentaries.
